Námafjall Geothermal Area
September 18, 2025 -- We visited several hot spring areas. Námafjall Geothermal Area is located in Northeast Iceland, on the east side of Lake Mývatn. The area is also known as Hverir. This was the same area where we went to the nature baths (Mývatn Nature Baths; Jarðböðin). They smelled a lot better. In fact, the odor at Námafjall was so overwhelming that we didn't stay too long.
