Zion National Park

December 2018 -- Zion National Park is located in southwestern Utah. Zion is the Hebrew word for "sanctuary" or "refuge." The park includes over 146,000 acres, ranging in elevation from 3,666 to 7,226 feet.  Landscapes include mountains, canyons, buttes, mesas, monoliths, rivers, slot canyons, and natural arches. Zion is the most visited national park in Utah.

We went on many hikes. Not any real long ones, though. The weather was ideal (December) for hiking. One hike in particular was a bit scary for me, as I'm a little afraid of heights. With encouragement, I crossed the scary part of the trail. I didn't even notice what scared me on the way back (it was a one way hike).
