James Stuart build Gracehill house in c. 1775. His family planted an avenue of over 150 beech trees along the entrance to the Georgian Estate. The trees formed a mesmerizing tunnel that became Dark Hedges. Dark Hedges became a big tourist attraction when it was used as a filming location in the popular TV series Game of Thrones. I've never seen Game of Thrones but Lara is a fan. Dark Hedges is one of the most photographed locations in Ireland.
