Little Heroes' Acre is a dog graveyard where dogs faithful to Kruger National Park are laid to rest. Each grave marks the resting place of a canine companion that played a role in protecting the park’s wildlife and aiding in anti-poaching efforts.

There are also markers in the park to honor people who lost their lives doing their job. Each year, several tourists love their lives in Kruger. There are many ways to lose your life at Kruger National Park: wild animal attacks, stampedes, and sometimes murder.
