Hanging out with vet students

I went to South Africa a few days early. I connected with a professor at the vet school at the University of Pretoria. I accompanied his vet students to a few farms. On the first farm, the students vasectomized some rams. On the second farm they worked ewes and lambs:  body condition scoring, hoof trimming, tail docking, etc. Both farms raised Dorpers. Sadly, as I recall, none of the vet students were particularly interested in working with sheep. Not that different than here.
