Hartbeespoort Dam

On one of the days I spent with the vet students in South Africa, we stopped at Hartbeespoort Dam.  Hartbeespoort Dam is renowned for its architectural splendor. It boasts a Roman Triumphal Arch Style wall, making it the only dam of its kind in South Africa. It was inspired by the iconic Arch de Triomphe in Paris and was completed in 1923.
