Bryce Canyon National Park

December 2018 -- From Zion we went to Bryce. Bryce Canyon National Park is located in southwestern Utah.  It is smaller and higher than nearby Zion National Park. The park covers 35,835 acres. It is distinctive due to its geological structures called hoodoos. It had snowed before we went. This made hiking a little on the cool side and changed the appearance of the landscape (for the better, in my opinion). December really is a good time to visit the  state and national parks in Utah.

Castle-like pinnacles

It was December when we visited.
