We saw sheep everywhere in Ireland. I always tell people that sheep live in the most picturesque places in the world, and they do. I frequently asked Lara to stop the car so I could take pictures. Most of the pictures I took with my DSLR camera (not cell phone), since the sheep were usually some distance away. I tried to figure out the breed I was seeing. Mostly we saw Blackface Mountain sheep. These are the small woolly sheep that roam the hills (without fences). They often have paint on them to differentiate ownership. Here are some of my favorite pictures of Irish ovines.
