September 2023 -- While we were visiting the Rock of Cashel, they were filming a pilot for a Netflix series. The action took place outside the castle, so it didn't stop us from touring the castle. Often, castles are closed to the public when filming takes place.

We we were able to observe the action, mostly through a slit in the castle wall. I had never seen a movie being made before, ironic since I started out as film major in college. They were filming a battle scene. Then, the actors took a lunch break. I wonder what the title of the series is and if it ever made it off the cutting floor.
