December 1, 2016 -- They're not as old or big as
Stonehenge, but Australia has its own standing stones. They are located in the Glen Innes Highlands. Created in 1991/92, they celebrate the Celtic nations whose descendants came to Australia. The stone circle is unique in the southern hemisphere.
