Where's Nessie?

What would a trip to the Scottish Highlands be without looking for the Loch Ness monster?  I thought our tour would do more than just a photo stop along the lake. But what else could we do? It's not like Nessie's going to pop her head up out of the water. I suppose we could have taken a boat cruise on the lake, but we didn't have time. We drove by the lake and a had quick look. No Nessie!

Loch Ness

Loch Ness is a fresh water loch in the Highlands. It is one of the largest lochs in Scotland and the whole of Great Britain. It has the greatest volume, and is the second-deepest and second-largest by surface area. The lake is 23 miles long by 1.5 miles wide.

Looking for Nessie

The Loch Ness Monster, affectionately known as Nessie, is a mythical creature in Scottish folklore.  The monster has ancient origins, first written about in 565 AD. The first modern sighting was in 1933. No monster has ever been found. But Nessie's great for tourism.
