The Lion King

May 23, 2015 -- Around the time we visited the Lion Park near Johannesburg, a women was killed when she unrolled her window to take a picture of a resting lion. The lion lunged through the window and mauled her to death. We visited the same Lion Park and did not get killed. In fact, we enjoyed a  game drive and "close-encounter" with some lion cubs and a cheetah. The we was me and Nelson E. We were in South Africa for an international parasite conference: W4: What Works With Worms.

The Lion Park also had a game drive. We saw lions and lion food.  Seeing so many lions in a largely natural habitat was amazing. They didn't get to kill their own food, but seemed please with the food that was brought to them. Too bad we don't have a lion park here. It would be a good market for goats.
