The Farm Inn in Pretoria was the headquarters of our international conference on worm control. It was a neat place to stay. Plus it had a game farm to explore. I checked in early. They allowed it, though I didn't have any money since my money, along with my passport had been stolen at the airport. My roommate was Lisa W. (from the University of Georgia). My colleagues were very kind to me, helping me out with money. I was able to pay my hotel bill using my brother's credit card number. That was probably the last nice thing he ever did for me (that's another story and one I won't be sharing on my blog).
