November 1, 2007 -- My first trip to Great Falls was 19 years ago. Dee Dee A. and I took a hooky day from work. Neither one of us had ever been to Great Falls. We went to the Maryland side. We were not disappointed. We got to see the mules pulling one of the canal boats through the lock. After Great Falls, we traveled to the Mall in Washington DC. All in all, it was a great day. We should have had more hooky days.

I've been to Great Falls several times since, even again with Dee Dee. I never tire of the scenery. It's hard to believe it's so close to Washington DC.
