Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon

September 16, 2025 -- Jökulsárlón  Glacier Lagoon is a stunning lake filled with icebergs. It's in Southeast Iceland, along the Ring Road. It’s Iceland's most famous glacier lagoon and one of the country's most iconic natural landmarks. The lagoon is filled with icebergs calved from Europe’s largest glacier, Vatnajökull.

We took an amphibian tour of the lagoon. The amphibian was similar to what we call "ducks" in the US.  It was a 40-minute tour. We had a good tour guide. I wish I could remember everything he told us. It was very interesting.
