The next day was a rainy overcast one. Our first stop was the picturesque Ross Castle. Ross Castle is a 15th century tower castle located on a lake (Lough Leane) in Killarney National Park. The castle is typical of strongholds of Irish chieftains built during the Middle Ages. We didn't have time to tour the inside of the castle. Instead, we took a boat ride around the lake. We were treated to a rainbow.
