The next day was a rainy overcast one. Our first stop was the picturesque Ross Castle. Ross Castle is a 15th century tower castle located on a lake (Lough Leane) in Killarney National Park.
A seat with a view
The castle is typical of strongholds of Irish chieftains built during the Middle Ages. We didn't have time to tour the inside of the castle. Instead, we took a boat ride around the lake. We were treated to a rainbow.
