I enjoy taking pictures of Civil War Battlefield monuments. Gettysburg Battlefield has the most: 1328 monuments, markers, and plaques commemorating the battle and the soldiers who fought. About 15 percent are Confederate. Antietam Battlefield has 96 monuments, mostly Union. Monocacy has only 5. I don't have pictures of any of them.

I've taken many pictures of battlefield monuments and markers, but there's plenty more. I'm not going to run out any time soon. I like to find the unique monuments or ones that represent a unique story of the soldiers they honor.
