Showcasing Civil War battlefield monuments

Civil War Battlefield monuments are a favorite subject of mine. Gettysburg Battlefield has the most:  1328 monuments, markers, and plaques commemorating the battle and the soldiers who fought. About 15 percent are Confederate. Antietam Battlefield has 96 monuments, mostly Union. Monocacy has only 5.

I've taken many pictures of battlefield monuments and markers, but there's plenty more. I'm not going to run out any time soon. I like to find the unique monuments or ones that represent a unique story of the soldiers they honor.
