Nithdale Genetics

December 12, 2016 -- We had a farm stay and tour of Nithdale Farm near Gore in the southern most province of  New Zealand. Nithdale is breeders of Romney and Suftex (Suffolk x Texel) sheep.  They also raised beef and dairy cattle. The genetics of their sheep were (are) advanced. They used  RFID and had a big screen  TV in their barn to display data (EBVs) on the sheep.  New Zealand
