October 1990 -- While in Seattle, we took a passenger ferry to Vancouver Island for the day. Vancouver Island is part of British Columbia (BC). Victoria is the provincial capitol and is located at the southern tip of the island. It is named for Queen Victoria. The city had a very colonial feel to it. We walked along the waterfront, took a double-decker tour bus to
Butchart Gardens, and had dinner (salmon, as I recall).
