October 1990 -- Mount Rainier is an iconic, heavily glaciated active volcano located in Washington state. It rises roughly 14,400 feet, dominating the Cascade Range. It is the centerpiece of Mount Rainier National Park. Mom and I drove around it during our visit to Seattle. I don't know that we went into the national park. We just drove around the mountain. I would love to visit the national park some day.
