Missouri Headwaters

I visited Three Forks when I was a graduate student at Montana State University. It was a short trip from Belgrade for Jake and I. Jake was my Australian Shepherd puppy. 

Missouri Headwaters 

Convergence

Three Forks is the geographic convergence point where the Jefferson, Madison, and Gallatin rivers merge to form the Missouri River. It is where Lewis and Clark first discovered the headwaters of the Missouri River (in 1805). Missouri Headwaters State Park was established in 1947.
