Carriage Roads

September 12, 2024 -- Acadia National Park includes 45 miles of rustic carriage roads financed by John D. Rockefeller Jr.  No cars are allowed on the carriage roads -- only cyclists, hikers, and horseback riders. The carriage roads also include 17 stone bridges, 16 built by Rockefeller. Unfortunately, two days didn't allow enough time to hike any of the carriage roads.  Next time.
