Belfast Waterfront

On day 3, we were in Belfast Northern Ireland. We walked around the city, visited the waterfront and Titanic Museum, and took a black cab "political" tour.  I liked Belfast better than Dublin (as far as a place to visit). I'd probably rather live in Dublin.

One of the iconic symbols of Belfast is the "Big Fish," located on the waterfront. It is 32-foot ceramic salmon. The fish's scales are made of ceramic blue tiles describing different scenes from the city's history. Everybody takes a selfie with the fish. Lara and I did. I kissed the fish, as you can see.

There is a Game of Thrones trail in Belfast, along the waterfront. There are beautiful stained glass windows along the trail. Lara and I posed with several of them.

SoundYard is a playful art installation inspired by the sounds of Belfast's shipyards. It is located along Belfast's Maritime Mile. SoundYard consists of hanging chimes that echo and reflect the noises that would have come from the nearby shipyard where the Titanic was built.
