Sommet De L’Élevage

October 2012 -- David and I went to Sommet De L’Élevage, Europe's largest livestock show. It was (is) held in Clermont-Ferrand, France. We went there after our sheep tour and before heading back to Madrid. It was a big show with lots of different breeds of livestock. Many breeds I had never seen before. France definitely has the distinction of having the heaviest muscled breeds (sheep and cattle) in the world. Such big butts on the cattle! Many of the sheep and cattle had large bells.
